Success stories, and wishful thinking
This site honestly shows what I've carried out during 40 years of professional carreer. I published in the epoque all I've solved and supported having some relevance. And here, everything is neither hidden nor processed. Good or bad, these are my ideas and outcome of my work. On behalf of this honestity, I feel in the right to claim an objective judgement only. I even do not claim the favour of placement within the context of time, for incidental ammendments. I do remain consistent with myself. With the faith that what I have proposed was sooner or later confirmed, or it would remain to be confirmed.
Before 1990, as a researcher, I devoted myself to the study of electrical power system functionality. As a whole system, not as a particular component of it. Our group of Romanian "systemists" was in those times someway ellitistic, even less people is involved today in power system analises. Almost all my solutions have been applied in the operation and development of the national power system, in an environment which, surprisingly enough, was trully competitive.
After 1990, I was present as far as the politicians decided to set up a competitive electricity market in Europe. Up to then, this "market design" has been beyond economists' understanding. Well knowledge of the power system functionality, a very complex issue, is crucial. I can say that the market mechanisms can be more easily understood than operation of the physical power system. Actually, the present European market disfunctionality is a consequence of inadequate treatment of the system operation requirements, as regards operational security particularly. Although, in the meantime significant progress has been made. Unfortunately, Romania seems to not participating to these clarification within the EU. The public discussion, being sticked to commercial aspects of the issue, is generally tendentious, of low intelectual level and irelevant.
I've tried to give bellow a telegraphic view of my post - 1990 contributions. I think, it is not here the right place to insist on that so - called scientific outcome. By the rather game of circumstances, some of these contributions had a chance to be implemented, some others did offer me the illusion of application only. As I said before, I do not deny any of them.
